Sai College (Sai Mahavidyalaya) was founded to explore the demand for quality higher education in Bhilai-Durg. The purpose of the college is to provide quality higher education in computer science, science, and business, as well as to encourage overall student growth and development, and to bring education beyond the walls and textbooks into the real world to create real leaders, Train champions, and role models. from The college's goal is also to provide its students with a quality education at the most reasonable cost possible. Sai College (Sai Mahavidyalaya), Bhilai is a Co-ed college affiliated with Hemchand Yadav University (formally known as Durg Vishwavidyalaya). Previously College was affiliated with Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. The college is recognized by the Higher Education Department of Chhattisgarh State. The college is also under-recognized by UGC under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 since 25th August 2014. and is Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The classrooms, units, and laboratories of Swami Sai College are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. Library: 

The College Library has over 16,000 books and an N-LIST subscription to e-books and journals, magazines, and newspapers. The library is automated using the integrated SOUL 3.0 library management system with OPAC (Public Access Online Catalog) functionality. Books approved and returned by students and staff are processed through SOUL 3.0. Each student receives at least 6 books at a time throughout the course and is required to return them after completing the university exams. This means that students have access to books throughout the semester and do not have to buy the books themselves. The library has a copy and print station for students and teachers. The curriculum and Old University Questionnaires are distributed by the library to students and staff. 

Computer rooms: 

Sai College has seven state-of-the-art, air-conditioned computer rooms. Each of the computer labs is equipped with more than Core2Duo/Dual Core computer systems, 2GB/4GB hard disk, LED monitor running Linux/Windows operating systems. These labs address the hands-on session needs of BCA, BBA, and B students. Sc Computer Sc, B.Com Computer Application, MSc Computer Sc, PGDCA, and DCA. Students in other non-IT/application majors also benefit from these labs, as the school organizes basic IT training for all students, regardless of the program. All laboratories are networked with structured cabling. Internet access is available in every computer room. Of the 7 computer classrooms, 3 are equipped with LED projectors for good teaching and learning. There is a dedicated team of hardware specialists to maintain these computer systems. The hardware is updated on a regular basis to keep up with the rapidly changing computing world. 

Cafeteria: 

Sai College has a hygienic cafeteria that is functional on all working days. The cafeteria serves a variety of different dishes to the diversified student community at affordable rates. The menus are prepared to serve not just tasty but also a healthy diet. Cleanliness of the area, hygiene, and a high-quality nutritious, and balanced diet surely makes the students feel at home. The food served in the Cafeteria is supplied and prepared by the base kitchen of Akshay Patra at Bhilai.
