In 2001, a group of Social Workers, led by Sri Krushna Singh, an eminent Sarvodaya Leader, thought of a plan to establish an Engineering College at Semiliguda, ( Dt. Koraput ) primarily with a view to cater Technical Education to the underprivileged students comprising mostly of Scheduled Caste & Tribe communities. Then, wasting no time, they immediately completed the required formalities and got the nod of AICTE. Thus came the birth of Samanta Chandrasekhar Institute of Technology & Management, Semiliguda in 2001.
