The College started with two figure number of students and at present the number has reached four figures. Initially, only Arts faculty was opened in 1978, followed by Commerce faculty in 1981. Science faculty was introduced in 1991. Considering the need for time new courses like B.C.S, and B.C.A. were started in 2000 and 2003 respectively. It is a matter of pride that our College is a pioneer in introducing a B.C.S. course at Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The College marched one step ahead with post-graduate teaching in Marathi and Hindi in 1995.

Library:

The Sangola College, Sangola was established by Sangola Taluka Uchcha Shikshan Mandal in the year 1978. Initially, the college was run in Sangola Taluka Vidya Mandir High School and Junior College. The Library occupied a small classroom in the beginning and later in 1991, the whole college was shifted to a huge multi-store college building. The college library, which is a source of knowledge, is an integral and important part of our Institute of higher learning. The Library aims to stock all the books and periodicals which the students and faculty members are required to read and grow through literature power. Any library acts as a backbone of an institute and provides the user with all the needy documents either in print or non-print media.

The library has been well equipped with Internet Resource Centre. Separate reading room for faculty members as well as for boys and girls. The library has 50862 books, 75 journals/periodicals/magazines, and 14 newspapers. The library is using ‘Library Management Software’ so called ‘LIB-MAN’. The whole library collection is barcoded. Library circulation and routine work are done fully with the help of Library Management Software. The library is a regular registered member of ‘INFLIBNET-NLIST’. Under this e-resources are available through N-LIST Programme. Our college is a registered member of the National Digital Library of India.

Boys Hostel:

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

Girls Hostel:

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a total of 329 computers,12 printers,08 printers, and scanners, and 4 cameras. The college computer systems are connected with proper LAN cabling.
