Sanjay Gandhi Polytechnic College offers admission to its diploma programmes by the completion of an application form. Admission is determined by the marks students receive in their KSEED SLCC/SSC/10TH exam or an equivalent exam from an accredited board. Following the release of the KSEEB-SLCC exam results, which usually occurs in the months of April or May of the academic year, admission notices are published in all of the major media.

While filling out the application form, the student must submit the following document along with the application form: -

• SLCC/SSC/10TH Marksheet
• Transfer Certificate
• For Karnataka students, a 5-Year Study Certificate countersigned by the authorized BEO.
• Physical Fitness Certificate
• Eligibility Certificate from DTE, Karnataka for other than home-state students.
• Photographs
• Anti-Ragging Affidavit.
