Saraswathy College of Nursing is run by Saraswathy Educational Trust which was found in 2007 as a glowing tribute to the eternal memory of the late B. Saraswathy Amma, a teacher par excellence. Saraswathy Educational trust envisages promotion of nursing education, research activities, community outreach programmes and also to provide quality medical assistance to the needy. Having felt the need for the service to the society by health care, the College of Nursing was established in the year 2007, to promote Quality nursing education, which was an immediate and vital necessity in the field of health care settings .The institute was initially affiliated to the University of Kerala and later it came under the Kerala University of Health Science, Trissur. It is recognized and approved by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council and approved by the Indian Nursing Council.

Class Room

The college has spacious, well-ventilated and well-furnished class rooms with LCD projectors, Overhead projectors, Public address system etc.  The class rooms are tailored to meet the individual needs of the students and maximum utilization of there sources.  The college is also provided with hygienic rest rooms and safe drinking water facilities.

The library in the college is a store house of knowledge.  The college has a spacious, well-ventilated and well-furnished library   with   seating capacity to accommodate   150 students. We have good collection of books, Journals (National & International), Magazines CD’s, Newspapers and newsletters in order to promote reading habit among the students. It also widens its services through Medline, Meddlers, CINHAL, Medline and Internet facilities. We have a separatelabto promote E-Learning. The students are rendered with the guidance of a qualified librarian

Mess

Mess facilities are available with a well maintained dining hall adjacent to the hostel.Vegetarian/ Non-Vegetarian meals are prepared hygienically and served aesthetically.  Students are provided with the mess timings and the mess remains open during that time.

Transport

The College has its own fleet of buses to help students in various areas like, field visits, clinical areas, community programmes, NSS programmes etc.

Auditorium

The college has spacious, well-ventilated and well-furnished Multipurpose Hall with   seating capacity for 200 members to conduct Examinations, Conferences, and Seminars, Symposium, workshops and guest lectures. They are equipped with the latest audio-visual gadgets(LCD projector, Overhead projector and Public address system).

Promote the overall personality development of Nursing students through various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Inculcate qualities in the Nursing students to function optimally in the hospital and community settings and also in the field of nursing education and research. Equip students to exhibit leadership quality in multiple areas such as clinical specialty, nursing education, nursing administration and nursing research.
