Beant College of Engineering & Technology (BCET), Gurdaspur was established by the Government of Punjab in 1995 as an autonomous Institution through a registered society. The mission of the college is to create a work culture in order to nurture the spirit of innovation and hard work for wholesome learning and knowledge updation. The college is situated 4 kilometers from Gurdaspur bus stand and 2 kilometers from the railway station, Pathankot is 35 km and Amritsar is 75 km from the college campus.

Computer Lab:

University Computer Centre (UCC) caters to the computing needs of various academic departments, administrative offices, hostels and residential houses. There is 1Gbps internet leased-line connectivity from National Knowledge Network (NKN). There is a Cyberoam UTM, which acts as firewall to protect the University Network from outside threats and cyber-attacks. It is also used to manage internet bandwidth and internet users. There is campus-wide networking on the Fibre cable backbone that connects Computer Centre to various departments, sections, hostels and residential area. One BSNL Bharat Fibre Broadband connection of 300 Mbps bandwidth is also available in UCC.

Library:

The Central Library was set up in 1995 in the Science Block of the college. It is now shifted to the auditorium building. Ever Since its inception, the Library is playing a vital role in encouraging self-learning supplementing academics, boosting research and development activities, and promoting consultancy activities. It has a floor area of 480sq. Meter and the seating capacity of 110 readers in the reading halls. The library follows the open access system. It facilitates the users to browse and pick up the document of their choice without any hindrance.

Workshop:

Central Workshop is the common facility for all the branches and has the most sophisticated machine tools & equipment. Besides important training work, the central workshop extends services in the form of repair work to institutes & hostels. The facility of making project work and working model is there for B.Tech/M.Tech students.

Sports:

Beant College of Engineering and Technology, Gurdaspur established by the Govt. of Punjab in the year 1995 is one of the premier institutes in the area of Technical Education. Sports play an important part in one’s life and in shaping one’s personality. Along with academics, our students have an ample inclination toward sports. Our College has an excellent infrastructure in sports. This includes a gym station and playgrounds for all the games. This college is also having a flood light Tennis Court.

Music and Dramatics:

Music and Dramatics (M&D) activities are the basic needs of one’s life. They can enlighten the soul and refresh the mind. In combination with studies, these activities play a vital role in polishing a student’s persona. Just like sports, music, and dramatics activities help a student to provide a break from a loaded study schedule to relax, refresh and develop/improve any skills in these fields that will always add to a student's overall abilities.

Admission

Passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by central/state government through legislation and a member of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology / Electronics/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices / Technical Vocational Subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Entrepreneurship (Any of three). Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of Candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subject taken together.
