Established in 2000, Sardar Raja College of Engineering (SRCE) is one of the leading Private engineering colleges based in Tirunelveli. It is the 3rd Engineering college of the Rajas group that was established by Founder Chairman Dr. S.A. Raja and administered by Er. A. Jesus Raja, Chairman, Jesus Group of Organization. It is popularly known as SRCE among students. The Institution offers a wide array of Undergraduate and Postgraduate academic courses that are approved by AICTE and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai.
The Sardar Raja College of Engineering was founded in the year 2000. The College is situated at Raja Nagar, Vadakkankulam in Tirunelveli District which is 25 km from Nagercoil, 60 km from Tirunelveli, and 90 km from Trivandrum. The college aims at providing its students with socially relevant and career-oriented education that can benefit themselves and society as well.
The Sardar Raja College of Engineering, Tirunelveli is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)and affiliated with Anna University.
The Sardar Raja College of Engineering, Tirunelveli courses are offered at various levels like undergraduate Degrees i.e Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical And Electronics Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Civil Engineering, etc. Postgraduate Degree i.e Master of Technology (M.Tech. ) in Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Technology (M.Tech.) Library:
The college has a well-stocked library with more than 42,000 volumes of books on various Engineering disciplines and Humanities & Science. the library has had a continuous subscription to Del-net membership since 2003 and for that high configuration systems were allotted. Also, we are subscribing to IEEE journals. Now the library has been changed to an e-library and it is functioning 12 x 7.
Computer facilities:
The college has around 700 computers with an internet connection. College is providing 24-hour internet facility to the students through BSNL leased line with a speed of 150Mbps using optical fiber cables. Additionally, a Centralized Computer Center is provided for the student’s usage
Hostel facilities:
The College hostels are convenient and comfortable with spacious rooms and ample storage. Internet access helps students to access online educational resources. Each hostel building is designed with its own kitchen, dining hall, reading room, television and telephone facilities.
Health security:
To ensure that students have access to medicines and medical advice, a well-stocked dispensary is provided.
Transport:
The college offers excellent facilities for students to commute by bus from any part of the town. It has a fleet of well-maintained buses.
Cafeteria:
The College cafeteria easily accommodates our growing student population. The food served at the College is nutritious and affordable.
Sports:
SRCE provides a valuable opportunity in Sports which helps to keep them fit and pursue Excellence. Sports offered on campus are Cricket, Football, Basketball, Tennis, and athletics.
SRCE has a “PLACEMENT CELL” to bring out well-trained engineers rather than just graduates from SRCE.
A pass in the HSC Academic both +1 and +2 or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
