SBGNM Degree College was started in 1997 with B.Sc., B., Com., and B.A., courses under Satya Educational Society by Sri Botcha Satyanarayana Garu former President, Pradesh Congress Committee, Andhra Pradesh state in memory of his beloved father late Botcha Gurunaidu Garu. Later We introduced BBM Course and M.Sc., Organic Chemistry. Later, the college name was changed to Satya Degree & PG College from the 2008 -09 academic onwards and the educational society name was changed to Sri Botcha Gurunaidu Memorial Educational Society. Ours is a purely unaided private college. Unlike, others it has been maintained on the foundation of service to the poor and meritorious students on a low fee structure by offering different courses of study as well as NCC, NSS, and games and sports which are being totally ignored in the rest of the colleges of whose motto is purely commercial.
