Savitri Girls’ College was established by Savitri Educational Charitable Trust on September 14, 1972. Late H. K. Jhajharia and M. L. Jalan became the Secretary and President of the College after its inception in 1972. The purpose of the institution is to empower women through education and other developmental activities.

The purpose of the institution is to empower women through education and other developmental activities. To this end, we aim to advance a wide range of charming and fruitful programs, which in turn promote an atmosphere of intellectual alertness and good oral health. Our goal is to empower girls who come to us from less fortunate and less privileged cultures so that they can get their potential and work towards becoming responsible citizens of the province.
The college is connected with Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University.
Undergraduate courses are offered as part of the BA Gen. and B.Com. undergraduate programs.
