Savitribai Phule College of Nursing, Kolhapur is proud to offer B.Sc. Nursing and RANM, vocational programs for girls and boys, under the management of Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha since August 2009. Recently, in 2023, it received approval to launch the GNM program. 

The college campus is located in the Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha campus at Tarabai Park. It creates a peaceful environment for learning and assimilation. It has all the basic amenities and is easily accessible from all parts of the city by road and easily accessible by public transport.

The library is well equipped with modern facilities like internet and online resources including online journals and e-books. It can accommodate 50 students at a time. Students are offered to "find information about all the library's subscribed online resources, open access resources, library catalog, etc.  

All library services are automated on modern lines with the help of E-Vidhya library software. The library has CCTV surveillance systems. 

There is a total of 2460 books in English and the library has Marathi. The best known are newspapers, which are usually published daily or once a week, not at all. 07 newspapers are available.  

In our library, we subscribe to periodicals published in India and abroad. All magazines are available in National 08 and International 08. 

Book bank system material books for poor and SC category students. These books are given for one year.

Laboratory of anatomy 

The anatomy laboratory is characterized by many laminated diagrams of key aspects of human anatomical structures, a full set of articulated and disarticulated adult skeletons, and models of various body parts. The center of attraction of our laboratory is an anatomical information brochure and working models of human physiology. 

Nursing Foundation Lab

The college has a well-equipped Nursing Foundation laboratory, including a medical-surgical nursing laboratory, where students learn and practice the art and procedures of nursing before applying them in a clinical setting.  The laboratory is equipped with a resuscitation manikin, a procedure manikin, all accessories and instruments, a burn cradle, a pulse oximeter, a first aid kit, and many other tools necessary to adapt the best practical skills and knowledge. 

Laboratory of Maternal Child Health  

In this lab, students practice prenatal, prenatal, and postpartum care before entering clinical care. The laboratory has a mannequin for practicing childbirth, a sewing simulator, a newborn doll, various obstetric and gynecological tools, and a laminated table for maternal education Nursing and child health Nursing. Students created different models for child treatment. 

Community Health Nursing Laboratory 

The Community Health Nursing laboratory is equipped with bags and supplies to perform various procedures such as disease screening and treatment of minor diseases in urban and rural areas. The laboratory consists of models such as home, sub-center, village, and bag technology models. There are 11 more laminated banners, 8 banners, baby weight, adult weight, etc. in the laboratory.

Nutritional laboratory 

The college has a well-equipped and furnished nutrition laboratory with cutlery and nutrition tables. It is well-ventilated, lighted, and has an adequate water supply. The student can estimate the nutritional needs and caloric needs of different age groups and different diseases. Students are taught to prepare a menu scientifically based on the calorific value of food. The nutrition laboratory has rooms for cold storage and preservation of food and presentation of a diet based on the nutritional needs of people, which students practice under the guidance of qualified teachers.
