Established in 1915, the Sarasvati Bhuvan Education Society made an enormous impact not only on education but also on the public life of the region. Many of its founders, motivated by patriotic zeal, fought to free the state of Hyderabad from the yoke of Nizam's rule, and after independence, the SB Education Society was the pivot of socio-political development movements in the region. The SB institution, which is a hundred years old, is still one of the few state institutions whose members have marked their profession and valuable education and social commitment. Years of excellent traditions and best practices are continued by adapting new trends to the changing times, which makes learning activities meaningful. Today we live in a limitless world that seems to have shrunk due to the wonders of information and technology. world economy Political, social, economic, and cultural changes have increased awareness of the need to understand the world from different perspectives and created a demand for specialized and qualified people. Facilities and Infrastructure

Residential Accommodations:

The college provides hostel accommodation for boys and girls. There are 102 beds for boys and 106 beds for girls. It is shared by SBES College of Arts and Commerce and SBES College of Science. Hostels are purely based on merit (the result of the last exam). Seats are reserved for reservation category students as per board rules. Guest entry forms are available from the college office. Students who want to apply for admission should go through the hostel information leaflet.

Library:

The library is the backbone of all academic activities. Our well-stocked library includes a collection of texts and reference materials, journals, periodicals, audio videos, CD-ROMs, and research reports, carefully selected from various national specialist institutions. The library also subscribes to magazines and newspapers. The library's opening hours are 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. There are separate reading rooms for UG and PG students. The reading room is open every day from 9:30 to 17:00. However, this space is available during the observation period from 9:30 to 22:00 and also on Sundays. All students have direct access to library materials to develop their reading style and promote interdisciplinary communication. Our library subscribes to 96 magazines/magazines, 12 newspapers and we have 111080 books for our readers. The library is the archive of the Marathwada newspaper published in the area since the 1940s, which is the main source of information for several studies. The National Archives of India is gratefully acknowledged for providing financial support for its preservation and digitization.

Auditorium:

We have a well-equipped air-cooled mini-auditorium with a capacity of 200 people, which hosts dramatic performances and is a vibrant platform for performing arts students to express their creative and artistic talents.

Labs:

The college has an air-conditioned computer lab equipped with a server connecting 85 computers. Broadband Internet access and color printing are available. The competent staff takes care of the student. This facility is used by students studying where computer-related subjects are prescribed. The generator room is the uninterruptible power source for the computer lab.

Conference Hall:

"Bhoomkar Hall" is a conference hall of the college where discussions and debates are organized on various topics and fields. It also serves as an exhibition space. Competitions with a limited number of participants take place here. The hall is air-conditioned with DLP, internet, and sound reproduction equipment, which can accommodate 100 people.

Sports Facilities:

The college has a well-equipped international standard gymnasium with three badminton courts, a multi-gym, table tennis, good gym equipment and also professional sports training.

ICT Enabled Classrooms:

There is a Wi-Fi connection on the first and first floors of our university building. The classrooms on these two floors are equipped with green, white, and blackboards and a ceiling-mounted digital laser projector and screen. All these classrooms also have a sound system.

Language Lab:

SBES College of Arts and Business is a language laboratory supported by ACEN hardware and software. This facilitates language skills in our students. In addition to speaking English, German and Japanese language courses are expected at the college. The language laboratory also offers a teacher program for school teachers.

Girl's Common Room:

The institution provides a misleading and protected common space only for its female students. During proxies and breaks, girls can enjoy their privacy and relax there.

Cafeteria:

The college cafeteria is the most sought-after space in student life to hang out with friends, chat during class, and cherish memories. The College Cafeteria offers affordable hygienic snacks to all students.

Admission

For direct admission, visit the college selection committee with the below-mentioned documents, pay the fees, and confirm the admission. The working hours of the selection committee are 11:00-17:00 on weekdays. Note that this is only available for BA, BBA, and BCA models.

Scholarships

The government of India offers three scholarships for UG and PG students. Details of these schemes are available on NSP, an exclusive portal created by the government. Students have to register and upload the required documents for the same and select the scheme for which they are eligible after submitting the online application. These students should print the submitted form and submit the hard copy along with the required documents like caste certificate/income proof/residence proof/copy of bank card / Aadhar card/mark sheet/admission certificate/graduation certificate. the scholarship department of our college. Grants for eligible students are paid by the respective ministries.
