The fully automated library has its entire repository bar-coded. It is in possession of a digital has prized CDs on important subjects. Staff and Students can access e-resources through inflibnet N-List (funded by tInflibnetry of HRD) and J-gate. This provides access to more than 6,000 e-journals and 97,000 e-books. The students can go through 17 different newspapers and 100-plus magazines and journals.
The MFGC college has two auditoriums: Vivekananda Hall and Silver Jubilee Open Air Theatre. These are well equipped with a public address system and acoustics and cater to the requirements of assemblage on a variety of occasions. The pride of the college is its two state-of-the-art Audio–Visual Centres: AVC – I and AVC – II.
The MFGC college has Jagadeesh Prasad Stadium, where facilities for outdoor and indoor sports are provided. It has a Multi-Gymnasium with good instructional facilities. A state-of-the-art Indoor stadium is being planned.
The college has well-equipped laboratories, rich in facilities, for various disciplines like Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physics, Computer Science, Criminology & Forensic Science, Geography and Psychology. A Business Lab is also set up to facilitate the teaching of Commerce and Management subjects. Language lab is being set up to enhance communication skills among students by offering an add-on course in English grammar usage and phonetics.
In the academic year 2006-07, structural reconstruction and re-working of the existing student support units were carried out. A broad-based student parliament was conceived, which saw a systematized selection of Class Representatives (CRs) in the ratio of 1:10 and the appointment of Organizing Secretaries to various committees. The Prime Monitor and Deputy Prime Monitor are elected every month. This resulted in the successful establishment of a student network with deeper penetration, ensuring full-fledged participation of the student community in all the activities. This restructuring has been further reinforced with the establishment of the ASIC committees, which are mandatory for every single student and staff member of the college.
