About Sarhad College

The vision of Sarhad College is to provide quality education to students from all sections of society. The attempts to make avail of various government scholarships to the reserved category students and few scholarships were given at college level and management level to the deserving open category students. Mr. Sanjay Nahar Scholarship is started in our college for one student in the third year from 2018-19 onwards. And it criteria are the student should have outstanding performance and is economically weak.

Sarhad has given its best to lay stress on providing education for the deprived, poor, and strife-ridden who form a bulk of the ones seeking admissions here. The college has shown dramatic changes since its inception in both academics and administration. It has accomplished several milestones over the period. The admission process for MIT-WPU Faculty of Liberal Arts, Pune, for the academic year 2024 involves different criteria for various courses. (IT) or equivalent with specified marks or a graduation degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or Graduation level (with additional bridge Courses as per university norms). B.Com, B.Sc., and BCA programs require passing 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized school/board.

The college has an area of 2 acres of land including 3652.59 sq.m. built two buildings for academic and administrative purposes. Indoor and outdoor sports facilities are available. The science lab is set up as per the requirement of the experimental program.

To improve the quality of teaching, there is the provision of ICT-enabled classes along with 1 smart board classroom. For effective learning, the faculties conduct various activities with computer aids technology. It has a research laboratory to sponsor research projects. The E-resources are provided to facilitate research.

The College has adequate facilities for sports, an open gym, yoga, and different cultural activities. Common facilities like NSS unit, SWO, Botanical garden, canteen, water filter, fire extinguisher, and lift for Divyangs. It is eco-friendly and attempts to reduce energy consumption.

To maintain discipline and safety, the campus has CCTV cameras that cover approximately every corner including the entrance, classrooms, lobbies, laboratories, ground office, and staffroom To avoid the inconvenience of electricity problems, a backup facility is available.
