SCAD Polytechnic College is a private institution located in Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The college strives to impart quality engineering education as well as practical skills. It is the objective of the college to inculcate in every student a sense of responsibility towards society and respect for human life, besides developing in them the highest standards of professional behaviour and personal integrity. SCAD Polytechnic College was established in 1997.

Facilities and Infrastructure

Hostel:

Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. The hostel has well-furnished and spacious rooms. Both hostels have 24/7 water and power supplies. Healthy and wholesome food is served in the hostel mess. Mess rooms are maintained hygienically and RO drinking water is available. Separate reading rooms and spaces for the students to relax are available at both hostels. Modernised gym facility in the boy's hostel.

Cafeteria:

The college has a well-planned canteen that functions inside the campus to cater quality food for the students and staff from 8.00 a.m. To 6.00 p.m. on all working days. The canteen serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine, soft drinks, fresh juices, and snacks are light snacks. The canteen provides stationery things also. It includes a well-maintained dining space. 

Transport:

The college runs its own fleet of buses to meet the demands of day students. Day students and staff members in and around Tirunelveli, Kayathar, Ambai, and Papanasam have access to transportation services. This transportation facility is also used for various educational purposes like field trips, industrial visits, and recruitment.

Sport:

The College is committed to promoting Sports activities towards the all-around growth of its Students. There is two qualified Physical education staff for both male and female students. Students are sent for Inter College Sports meets and have won many prizes in many such events.

Library:

The college resource centre boasts of an inspiring collection of over 11,500 volumes of resource material which includes textbooks, reference books, project reports, back volumes, CD Rom database and Video. A separate digital library is available. The library subscribes to more than 100 national and international journals and magazines. The resource centre also has Online Catalogue, Reprographics Facility and a Question Bank.

Social conscience is the underlying principle of life on the Campus. Students of SCADEC actively engage in National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC), and Red Ribbon Club (RRC).

Apart from Academics placement training, skill training and various other technical training are given at our college for the students to meet the current world's requirements. placement department prepared the students to apply their skills in math, reasoning, and general knowledge to careers with the best success rates. A mock interview mirrors an actual job interview. It gives you an opportunity to practise what to say and do during an interview and get feedback. Mock interviews are conducted on our campus to prepare the students for real interviews.
