Vinayaka Missions had its inception in the year 1981 with the establishment of the Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal (TKVTSS) Medical Educational and Charitable Trust. Not far from then, in 1982, the founder chairman, Dr. A Shanmugasundaram instituted the Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy in Salem, the pioneer institution of Vinayaka Missions. In the year 2001, the "Deemed to be University" status was conferred on Vinayaka Missions by The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, with the recommendations of the UGC Under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 as an acknowledgment of its excellence, the satisfaction of the highest level of academic standards and best infrastructural facilities provided to achieve preeminence in education and by virtue of this recognition Vinayaka Missions th transcended to becoming Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (VMRF) as the 48 University in India.

Hostel:

A home away from home, the hostels at SAHS is more than four walls and a roof. They have been designed to provide a comfortable, safe, inclusive, and secure living even as they provide opportunities to form lasting friendships and ease the transition from home to college. Residential staff is always available to support students from different backgrounds to promote community. Hostel evaluation committee conferences are performed as soon as 15 days with the aid of using the hostel directors to address students’ queries and requirements and to keep them updated on the up-gradation of services and events. Students also are given the privilege to offer pointers to enhance the hostel facilities.

DINING HALL:

Separate dining facilities for girls and for boys are available with the provision of hot, normal, and cold water. Students from abroad can also choose from a limited list of special food items. For those who want to try out different cuisines, a variety of hygienic food facilities are available on campus. Fast food outlets are also attached to Hostels.

FOOD:

Healthy, wholesome food and a variety of dining options are available for the hostel students. Given the great diversity of tastes and cultures, students have access to multi-cuisine catering services that serve vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and International food. A balanced menu is prepared every month by the student mess and Menu committee in consultation with the hostel administration.

Library:

Developing Library Network, New Delhi is a major resource-sharing library Network in India connecting more than 7700 institutions in 33 states in India and a few other countries comprising of Universities, Colleges, R&D organizations, medical hospitals, etc. DELNET is devoted to the Modernisation & Networking of Libraries. It was registered as a Society on June 30, 1992. It is located in Jawaharlal Nehru University Campus, New Delhi. “Networking Libraries, Sharing and Spreading Knowledge” remains the prime motto of DELNET with which it is working relentlessly for more than 30 years.

Placements

The Placement Cell operates around the year to facilitate contact between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through campus interviews is continuously rising. Many reputed companies and organizations have done campus interviews and many of our students have been placed through them.

Admission

Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years on or before the first day of July of the academic year in which the candidate is seeking admission. Based on NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) (NEET-UG) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Admission process is done through General Counselling conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee / Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
