The School of Distance Education, formerly known as the ‘Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education’, University of Calicut, started functioning in the Academic year 1981-82. Now it is one of the major Departments of the university and has also emerged as one of the major distance education providers. SDE is making all its effort to extend its support to reach the unreached and has been keen on providing facilities in distance mode for the benefit of the deprived sections of society.
