Laboratory Facility at Sherwood College of Pharmacy

Pharmaceutics involves designing, and formulation of therapeutically useful chemical compositions in suitable dosage forms viz. tablets, syrups, capsules, and parenteral preparations along with new drug delivery dosage forms. Our lab is well equipped with instruments that provide basic training in handling instruments at a laboratory scale which builds a platform for the industry level.

Pharmaceutical chemistry concerns medicinal analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, inorganic pharmaceutical chemistry, etc. Our lab is well equipped with the latest equipment to synthesize and characterize new chemical entities.

Pharmacognosy concerns knowledge of medicines of natural origin, their cultivation & collection, their active constituents, & microscopic characters along with the extraction and isolation procedures as well as quality control and analytical validations. Our lab is well equipped with the instruments and able to train the students for their future prospects. Herbal Garden is one of the essential parts of this lab which includes 100s of medicinal plants growing under supervision.

Pharmacology is the branch of pharmaceutical science that involves the study of the pharmacological action of drugs on the body tissues. We have all the instruments which are related to pharmacological studies. This lab also includes Animal House as an essential requirement for experiments.

This is the basic part of pharmaceutical studies which involves knowledge of tissue constitution, their function, and disorders. Our lab is well-equipped with instruments and trained lab technicians.

A highly sophisticated lab for the culture of bacteria and their pathological studies. There is an aseptic chamber to perform the bacterial studies.

The Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab is well equipped with all the analytical instruments which provide accuracy in analytical tests of drugs and their quantification.

This lab is well equipped with the latest instruments viz. UV-Vis spectrophotometer, colorimeter, I.R spectrophotometer, HPLC, etc. which is helpful in the characterization of compounds and quantitative analysis of drug.

Our lab is well-equipped with the equipment used for general pharmaceutical preparations and experiments.

SCP provides the best hostel facilities on campus for boys and off campus for girls. The hostel is a part of the SCP and it is well connected to the campus. The well-appointed hostel rooms provide a comfortable stay to provide a much-needed break from hectic activities. Hostels have facilities like hot and cold water supply, medical aid, electricity backup, security, Internet access, recreational facilities, etc. The hostlers coming from different states are also grouped together to develop a culture of sharing and cooperation.
