Shree Somnath Sanskrit University (SSSU) is a public university located in Gujarat, India. It was created by the Gujarat State government through the Shree Somnath Sanskrit University Act in 2005 for the research and teaching of Sanskrit literature, with objectives to preserve India’s cultural and linguistic heritage.
Shree Somnath Sanskrit University was established in 2005 by Panditji Shri Naval Kishore Sharma, who was the Governor and Chancellor at the time of the university. It's built on more than 17 acres of land donated by the Shri Somnath Trust. Shree Somnath Sanskrit University (SSSU) is a public institution situated within Gujarat, India.
It was founded through the Gujarat State government through the Shree Somnath Sanskrit University Act in 2005 to conduct research as well as teaching Sanskrit literary works, and with the aim to safeguard India's culture and language heritage.
