Shri Angalamman College of Engineering and Technology was founded by A.D.S. Education Trust, Tiruchirappalli, with the approval of the Government of Tamilnadu Vide G.O.Ms.No.388 (Education) dated 01.04.1991 and approved by All India Council for Technical Educational (AICTE), New Delhi. The trust which is dedicated to the cause of promoting technical education to the student community of Tamil Nadu has purchased a vast area of 155.22 acres of Land in the Trichy-Chennai National Highways. The campus is developing rapidly, under the table administration of Chairman Er. M. Subramaniam with the help of able faculty of the institution. This College has an excellent Faculty. Technical Assistants, with well-equipped laboratories. Library etc., The College is functioning since the academic year 1991 – 1992. SACET is located at about 20km. from the heart of Trichy. The city has a unique blend of ancient cultural heritage with modern industrial development. The campus is named Ramanan Nagar. Started in the year 1991 by the ADS Educational Trust, with Major K. Srinivasan as its Director it provides holistic technical education. It is recognized by the AICTE and affiliated with Anna University; Trichy. This College is functioning since 01-07-1991 in a very beautiful atmosphere on the National Highway-45 with all the infrastructural facilities such as two Main Buildings, a big & spacious Workshop, Laboratories, full compliments of the Library, Hostel and a canteen for food & refreshments.
