Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj College of Engineering was established in 2011 and runs under the society Ahmednagar Jilha Maratha Vidya Prasark Samaj. It is affiliated with the University of Pune and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Govt. of Maharashtra, recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). Facilities and Infrastructure

The college has well equipped 15 classrooms, 4 tutorial rooms, 37 laboratories, and 1 seminar hall. All laboratories are equipped with all the necessary pieces of equipment and laboratory tools as per AICTE Norms. Classrooms and seminar halls have an LCD projector, Internet connectivity, ventilation, and luminance. Various charts are displayed in laboratories for a better understanding of practical concepts. Extra classrooms are utilized for conducting aptitude tests, interviews, and group discussions. Girls’ common room and sick room are available in the college. The college has a computing facility with 36 Mbps internet speed on a campus with 289 computers with UPS backup and a centralized server room. A fire audit of the college has been done and necessary equipment’s are installed. Girl’s hostel is available in Ahmednagar city with all the basic amenities and security for the girl students. Bus facility is provided for the students to reach the college from corners of the city.

Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj College of Engineering central library was set up in 2011. A library plays a vital role in the teaching-learning process. The library provides knowledge to all faculty and students. The library is an essential component of the learning, research, and education mission. The Central Library is located on the ground floor and is spread over an area of 429.96 sq. m., with the reading hall having a seating capacity of 180 students. The library is automated with the library software ‘e-vidya: Library Management System’ which includes: Acquisition, Accessioning, OPAC, Barcode, Issue/Return of books, Periodical record, and various types of reports, etc. It helps in accessing a wide range of materials. The central library is divided into various sections such as the Circulation section (Issue/Return), e-Library, the Reprographic section, the Journals section, the Newspaper section, Stacking Section, Spacious Reading Hall, etc.

IT infrastructure to satisfy the requirements of students and staff for better teaching and learning process. Various software is available at the institution level as per the current market situation to make the students employable such as MATLAB, Java, Dot NET Visual Studio 14, Android Studio 3.2, C Lang, C++ Lang, AUTO CAD Civil, and Stad Pro continuously updated. The institution has a smart school MIS system for students and staff.

The college has always encouraged and supported co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The college has a well-equipped gymkhana for effective and better coordination of various sports and cultural activities which is headed by a physical director, cultural in charge, and supported by the student sports and cultural committees. The college always encourages students to participate in various competitions at the state level and university level. The college carries one physical health checkup program every year to monitor the physical development of the students. The college has a basketball court, and a playground for various outdoor games such as cricket, football, kho-kho, volleyball, and badminton.

The gymnasium has various indoor game facilities such as table tennis, chess, and carrom. It is used by the students after college hours with pieces of equipment such as treadmills, and muscle-building types of equipment. The college has a spacious YOGA center which is used to conduct meditation and yoga activities for the students and staff so that students can learn stress management and concentrate on their studies.

Apart from these, the college has an open-air theater and cultural room for cultural events. Students are participating in various cultural events such as the celebration of Shivjayanti, Sanstha Shatabdi Mahotsav, and events organized by the Young Inspirator’s Network. The students who participate in various sports and cultural events are acknowledged by the institution by providing a traveling allowance, and sports kit and felicitating them at college-level functions.
