Residential Facilities:

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University boasts seven hostels, with five designated for boys and two for girls. Conveniently situated near classrooms, the Central Library, Administration Block, Medical Aid Centre, Bank, Post Office, Cafeteria, and more, these hostels prioritize the comfort and enjoyment of all students.  The well-ventilated and spacious rooms are equipped with modern infrastructure, ensuring a cozy living environment.

Each hostel features a well-equipped mess, kitchen, dining hall, safe drinking water, and sports/leisure facilities such as table tennis, badminton, chess, and carrom. Special facilities, including ramps, accessible restrooms, and spacious rooms, have been designed in both boys' and girls' hostels to accommodate physically challenged students.  The university is committed to maintaining the fitness and health of students, providing a centralized gym for boys with state-of-the-art equipment and a separate gym in all girls' hostels, also equipped with modern fitness gear.  Subscriptions to local and national newspapers and magazines contribute to the overall development of students.

Auditorium:

The university's centrally air-conditioned auditorium, "Matrika," stands as a state-of-the-art architectural marvel. Laid on February 6, 2006, the auditorium is the largest in the state and country, constructed in just three years. With a seating capacity of 1,000 persons (700 on the ground floor and 300 on the balcony level), it includes fully equipped seminar halls and conference rooms.

Medical Facilities:

Ensuring the well-being of its residents, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University prioritizes health care. The Medical Aid Centre offers services to all university personnel and students. The independent premises of the Medical Aid Centre are well-equipped, featuring doctors, male medical assistants, female staff nurses, a laboratory assistant, an assistant, and a helper. 

Sports Facilities:

Encouraging student engagement in both outdoor and indoor games, the university supports participation in cricket, football, table tennis, lawn tennis, volleyball, badminton, weightlifting, multi-gym, basketball, and more.  Plans include expanding the range of sports to include activities like trekking, mountaineering, hockey, swimming, and water polo athletics for both men and women.  Qualified physical education instructors assist the Sports Department in fostering students' interest and enhancing their participation standards. The indoor sports complex is equipped with facilities for table tennis, badminton, weightlifting, and a multi-gym. Additionally, a cricket and sports field is available on campus.
