Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts or SRC one of Delhi's best-known theatres at Mandi House on Safdar Hashmi Marg, New Delhi, close to the Kendra, it is run by the Indian National Theatre Trust established in 1958 for the promotion of Art and Culture, with people like Sheila Bharat Ram, Kamla Devi Chattopadhyay, Nandita Kriplani and Aditya Srivastava associated with it.[1] The Centre runs a certified Two Year Acting Course. The SRCPA Theatre Repertory Company started in 1980[2] and the Puppet Theatre Company, over the years saw the rise of modern puppetry under puppeteer Dadi Padamjee.

Admission

Shri Ram Centre offers a two-year Acting program for which a graduate is preferred.

Also, candidates need to have a minimum of three play-acting experiences and qualifications in performing arts for eligibility.

Admission to the Acting program is done based on an entrance test, audition, workshop, and interview.

For the Children’s club, children of age group 8 to 15 years old can take admitted.

For Weekend Theatre Acting Workshop and Senior Teens Theatre Workshop, admission is done on first cum first-serve basis.

Candidate must be 18 years old or above, with a minimum qualification of 10th pass required for the Two-month workshop and Weekend Theatre Acting Workshop.

For the Senior Teens Theatre Workshop, the candidate must be 18 years or above in age.

Prior acting experience is preferred for Two-month Workshop and Weekend Theatre Acting Workshop.

In Director’s Training Program, the candidate must be 22 years n above.

Also, this program is conducted in November each year for-three weeks duration.

Admission to Weekend Theatre Acting Workshop and Senior Teens Theatre Workshop is done based on first cum first-serve basis.

Admission to Theatre Director's Training Program is done based on an Interview.

For Two-month Workshop, admission is done based on Audition.
