Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET), Tumkur was established in 2002 under Sri Shridevi Charitable Trust by the founder trustee Dr. M.R. Hulinaykar. The Institute offers seven undergraduate courses and six postgraduate courses with an annual intake of 690 students.

IET owns new buses to reach the campus from in and around and places of Tumkur. Autorickshaws and City Buses are also available to reach the SIET campus.

Hostel & Mess

The hostel complex accommodates more than 1300 students. Two independent blocks are provided for boys and girls. The hostel's premise encompasses a beautiful garden. Each hostel has a resident rector to maintain discipline. Hostel rooms are spacious and nicely ventilated. A new ladies' hostel is under construction.

Conference Hall

Our Institute maintains a well-equipped Seminar Hall, which accommodates at at-least 200 persons complete with Video Camera, Slide Projector, LCD, OHP, sound system, etc. It proves ideal for place seminars, meetings, workshops, guest lectures, group use of Audio-Visual material, etc.

Medical & Security

The Institute has well equipped Medical Cell which takes care of any emergency for students' medical problems. The students are provided medical treatment with utmost care.

Scholarship

Fee Waiver Scheme

The State Government has started a fee waiver scheme to help the economically poor but meritorious students. Further information regarding this can be obtained from the office of the Registrar.

Education Loans

Getting Education is no longer an insurmountable problem these days. Education loans are available to needy and deserving students from Nationalized Banks at reasonable rates of interest. These loans are repayable after the completion of the degree/diploma.

Financial Help

It is a motto with the management of our Group, “Poverty would not be allowed to stand in the way of the completion of the education of meritorious students. Such students are generously helped. Academically intelligent and poor students acquire higher education by giving them financial help in the form of tuition fee waivers. Relaxation in tuition fees is also given to merit position holders in the qualifying examinations/competitive examinations and position holders in the University examinations. The parents of meritorious students are also honored along with the students in the annual functions of the Colleges.
