The Y.V.Rao Siddartha College Of Education, Vijayawada was established in the year 1984 to provide pre-service training at the secondary level (B.Ed Course). It was inaugurated by Prof.K.Rama Mohan Rao, the then Vice-Chancellor of Nagarjuna University on 23rd January 1984.
The academy has been running 15 educational institutions for school education for Intermediate, Degree, PG levels, Engineering, Technology, Law, Teacher Education, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmaceuticals, Dentistry, etc. The dreams of the common man for higher education are brought to the doorsteps of Vijayawada by the academy. As a result, Thousands & Thousands of students have been pursuing their education in Vijayawada.

YV Rao Siddhartha College Of Education, Vijayawada courses are offered at various levels like Undergraduate Degrees (i.e BA, B.Com, B.sc, etc.) and many more. Residential Accommodation
Separate boys and girls' hostels with high security are available on the university campus. Boys and girls have two hostels with WiFi services for UG and PG, which can accommodate around 150 students each with good infrastructure. A well-equipped gymnasium is set up for the students of the hostel to develop the physical abilities of boys and girls. A hygienic mess is attached to hostels. The rooms are spacious and airy. The Library
There are no international/National encyclopedias, years of books reports of national commissions on education, research publications educational reviews etc. management procured more than 8221 no. of books with tittle total worth of Rs 3,04,758 and 42 educational journals and 60 Encyclopedias available in the library. There is a compulsory library period in the timetable. Apart from the above, there is a facility for a digital library also.
Canteen
It provides good quality fresh Snacks, cool drinks, coffee, tea, and other food items in a hygienic, healthy way which suits the pockets of the student. It is immaculate and very well maintained.
Sport
Physical education is strongly aimed at improving the physical and mental health of each player. This results in the development of dynamic personalities. Sports activities and achievements have helped many people get better job opportunities. The clean area with the natural gift of fresh air is a stimulating resource, which motivates the player to perform better. All sporting activities are encouraged by the provision of all facilities during student participation in intercollegiate, intra-university and other tournaments.
Computer Lab
There is a computer laboratory with 20 systems connected by LAN. Computer training and examinations in computer education are mandatory for all student teachers. Each student teacher has to submit a record of work done in the computer lab. They have to prepare PPTs also. P.G.Diploma in computer application course is also offered to student teachers in collaboration with AP Productivity Council
