Eligibility Criteria:
For B.Tech 1st Year:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio Technology, Computer Science, or Biology.
- Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in any engineering trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chd, SLIET Longowal, or any equivalent exam from another State Board of Technical Education are eligible.
- Candidates with a two-year certificate course from SLIET Longowal are also eligible.
- Admission will be based on the JEE (Main) rank. 85% of the seats are reserved for candidates from Punjab, while 15% are open to candidates from outside the state.
For B.Tech (Lateral Entry):
- Candidates must have passed the Diploma examination from an AICTE-approved institution with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the relevant branch of engineering/technology.
- Alternatively, candidates with a B.Sc. degree from a UGC-recognized university with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) and having passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject are eligible.
- Admission will be based on the inter-se-merit in the qualifying examination. Any remaining vacant seats in the first year of B.Tech. for the 2019-20 session will also be filled based on inter-se-merit.

The SIET Library is fully air-conditioned, computerized, and equipped with the latest book additions. Utilizing Bibliosoft Software, the library manages its internal operations. Records of journals, books, and magazines are digitized, and all books are barcoded to automate library operations. The Reference Section includes encyclopedias, textbooks, dictionaries, and other reference materials available exclusively for research. The library offers both printed and electronic versions of journals.
Seminar Hall
Our college boasts well-equipped seminar halls with the latest technology, featuring:

Satyam Institute of Engineering & Technology provides transportation for all staff and students based in Amritsar City and surrounding areas.
