The college is situated at Pappakoil on Vellankanni Road, Nagapattinam in an area of 10 acres. The college provides modern teaching facilities and buildings represented through modern architecture, giving the precinct a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere.

The infrastructure also includes a state of art air-conditioned computer laboratory with servers and internet facilities and workstations have welding and smithy equipment that provide hands-on experience to our engineering students. Residential Accommodations:

Full-fledged hostel facilities for boys and girls students have been established nearby the college campus. It acts as a” Home away from home” for students from different places. It provides good and safe facilities for boarding and lodging to fulfil the needs of outstation students. The students are monitored for their well-being by an efficient warden.

A fleet of 13 buses is operated for the convenience of students and staff coming from Nagapattinam surroundings and it covers almost all the points from the city. Buses ply through every nook and corner of Nagapattinam, Thiruthuraipoondi, Vedaraniyam, Aayakaranpulam, Kodiyakarai, Sannanallur, Kangalancherry, Thiruvarur, Kachanam, Vaimedu, Kottur etc.

Private vehicles like two-wheelers and four-wheelers are not permitted in order to prevent accidents and late-comers to the college. All the buses reach the campus before 9.00 a.m. so that students and faculty get ready for the classes at 9.15 a.m. The buses leave the campus at 5.10 pm, which helps the students to reach home early and safely.

With a catalogue of over 11,589 volumes and an online journal database with a link to IEEE, the library offers knowledgeable resources to aid students’ quest for knowledge. The library stocks 229 National and International Journals and Magazines to keep students abreast of the latest findings and research. The resources are constantly being expanded and added every year. To enrich students’ abilities, the library offers institutional membership in DELNET (Developing Library Network, New Delhi). The library also offers web courses in various disciplines, which can be accessed throughout the campus via the intranet.

SINCET focuses on equal emphasis on sports and games along with academics. Students are encouraged to take an active part in sports to provide relaxation, fine-tune their energy, nurture competitive spirit, enhance team spirit, and above all achieve leadership qualities. Playgrounds with abundant spaces and equipment for outdoor and indoor games facilities are available for the betterment of students.SINCET has a well-qualified and experienced physical Education Director who strives diligently to enable the students to have a bright future in sports. Our College has a spacious canteen facility on the college premises and is run by college management. For students, the canteen is just not a place to eat but it’s a place where they hang out and have a word exchange to relax.SINCET canteen provides a variety of food prepared by skilled chefs. Management takes special care in providing students with hygienic food. Spacious canteen allows with good seating facilities. The dishes prepared here are delicious and nutritious as well. Food items are prepared with RO-treated water.

Admission is based on an entrance exam conducted by the University.

Scholarships

Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology promotes various scholarship schemes to meritorious students in the education sector as well as to the socially and economically backward categories. Newly admitted students are exempted from paying tuition fees for the first year on the basis of their ranks in the respective Admission process. In the subsequent year(s), Students are rewarded for their sustained hard work and merit in the results declared by the University for the preceding year. This reward is given for academic performance on a year-to-year basis. The scholarship wing of the college guides the students to procure the benefit of scholarship schemes like SC/ST, BC/MBC, BC/MBC- Minority and Merit cum Means (MCM), and Scholarship Scheme to Girl Child.

Placements

The Placement and Training Division offers a career development program for the students and introduces the students to prospective employers according to their aspirations and background. Training programs are conducted for the final year students in the month of June every year. Internal training in Aptitude and Soft skills. Technical training (.net c#, embedded program, CAD) by external resource persons (Industry Professionals). The On Campus recruitment program starts in the month of August. It keeps continuing till the end of their final semester, and further, we help our students by arranging Off-Campus Interviews too. Placement coordinators assist in organizing the training programs and On Campus recruitment program.

The Placement coordinators from every department support all the Placement activities. The Placement division has an effective communication system to keep the students informed about potential job opportunities and guide them from time to time.
