Sindri College has the distinction of being the only college within 15km of Sindri Municipality specializing in fertilizers to meet the college needs of the tribal people and underprivileged populations in the surrounding villages.  College was taken over by the former Fertilizer Corporation of India Ltd. (FCI) which donated 1.5 lakh rupees from its Workers' Services Fund to its staff and wards. The then education minister of indivisible Bihar, Satyendra Narain Sinha, opened the college on July 12, 1963. Since then, the college has never looked back. Undergraduate students have received awards for the college in both education and extracurricular activities, including physical education. Many of our students are high on the list of academic achievements that the College is proud of among the colleges of the former Ranchi University, Ranchi, and now Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh.
