About Sir CR Reddy College, Eluru

This need was met when  Sri Rao Saheb Damaraju Venkata Rao,  then President of Eluru City Council,  took the initiative in 1944. The city council under the leadership won the sympathy and support of philanthropistscitizens of Eluru and surrounding areas and embarked on a collection unit and deposited Rs.2 lakh 17,000 to the municipal treasury as a fund allocated for starting the college.
