A fleet of 27 buses are operated for the convenience of students and staff coming from Nagapattinam surroundings and it covers almost all the points from the city. Basics Of Electrical Engg Lab:

Basic of Electrical Engineering Lab is an engineering lab that deals with the study and application of electricity, and electromagnetism. Students learn the characteristics of the most basic and common components used in Electrical Engineering (i.e. resistors, capacitors, inductors, power supplies, voltmeters and ammeters) and can verify Theorems on DC Circuit Analysis like Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law and Kirchhoff’s Current Law, Thevenin’s Theorem, Norton’s Theorem, Maximum power transfer Theorem.

Digital Electronics Lab:

The purpose of the experiments conducted in this lab is to acquaint the student with Digital devices, the Design of circuits, Instruments & procedures for electronic tests & measurement and to teach practical skills that the student can use in the course of his or her own experimental research projects in digital electronics.

Mpi Lab:

The lab is well equipped with 8085 and 8086 microprocessor trainer kits along with interfacing modules to demonstrate the detailed applications of microprocessors. The purpose of this laboratory is to train the students to be familiar with the software and hardware of microprocessors so that they can gain enough experience to meet the demand of the microprocessor era. Specifications based on 8085 is CPU operating at 6.144 MHz. crystal with 8k bytes of EPROM loaded with a powerful monitor program and 8k bytes of RAM available to the user. Total on-board memory expansion up to 64k bytes using 2732/2764/27128/6264/ 62256 with 1 socket of 28 Pin. Battery backup for RAM with 3.6v rechargeable cell. Keyboard mode facility for downloading/uploading files from/to pc enclosed in an attractive abs plastic cabinet with cover in-built power supply user’s manual.

Mc & Esd Lab:

Microcontroller and Embedded System Design Lab deals to develop dedicated systems based on both hardware and software.MC & ESD Lab is equipped with Keil µ vision (Free Version), Flash Magic, 8051 Application Boards, Stepper and DC motors and computer systems. Students learn to program the microcontrollers and interface various peripherals with microcontrollers.

Analog Electronics Lab:

The area of analogue electronics circuit design is one of the vast and complex areas in VLSI circuit design. Analog Electronics Lab is well equipped with Digital Signal Oscilloscopes (DSOs), Multimeters, Analog Trainer kits and discrete components (active & passive). Students learn to design and implement the analogue electronics circuit for given specifications.

Surveying Lab:

Surveying lab includes essential measurements to determine the relative position of points or physical and cultural details above, on, or beneath the surface of the Earth, and to depict them in a usable form, or to establish the position of points or details. This lab also includes the application of Chain, Compass, Plane Table, Theodolite, Auto level, Dumpy level and Total Station.

Computer-Aided Drawing Lab:

This lab uses advanced civil engineering software for making the students industry ready. At the CAD lab, students get hands-on training in 2D and 3D drafting of civil engineering drawings using the latest version of AutoCAD software. Students learn computer-aided layout design and 3D solid modelling in confirmation with the related codes.

Sports Facilities:

Sir Issac Newton Polytechnic College focuses on an equal emphasis on sports and games along with academics. Scholarships

Pg Scholarship:

The scholarship is awarded to full-time GATE/GPAT qualified students admitted to M.E./ M. Tech/ M. Arch and M.Pharma courses in AICTE approved Institutions/Colleges @Rs. 12,400/- PM/ student.

National Doctoral Fellowship (Ndf):

Admitting full-time meritorious research scholars by providing research fellowship who wants to seek admission to PhD in AICTE approved Technical Institutes/University Departments for carrying out research in thrust areas

Pragati Scholarship:

Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to meritorious girls taking admission to AICTE approved Technical institution at a Degree/ Diploma. A total of 4000 scholarships are given @ Rs. 30000/- as tuition fee reimbursement and Rs. 20000/- as incidentals each year.

Saksham Scholarship:

Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to Differently abled students taking admission to AICTE approved Technical institutions with a Degree/ Diploma. A total of 1000 scholarships are given @ Rs. 30000/- as tuition fee reimbursement and Rs. 20000/- as incidentals each year.

Samriddhi – Scheme For Sc/St Students For Setting Start-Ups:

Looking at the poor job availability in the market, it is necessary to provide opportunities for SC/ST students to start their own enterprises. The broad objective of this scheme to help SC/ST students is in designing, launching and running their own business/startup through an entrepreneurship development programme after formal education is over/during their education as per AICTE’s startup policy.

Support To Students For Participating In Competition Abroad (Sspca):

The objective of the scheme is to provide travel assistance registration fees to a team of a minimum of 2 to 10 students for attending competitions at the international level in order to encourage engineering students to improve their field of technical education.

Aicte-Inae Travel Grant Scheme:

An “AICTE-INAE Travel Grant Scheme” for Engineering Students to present papers abroad has been launched for enhancing the quality of engineering education in the country.
