Seven kilometres away from the din of the Yemmiganur town, the college campus nestles amidst lush and luxuriant greenery on sprawling 27 acres of land. The College has spacious, well-ventilated, well-equipped, and well-furnished Laboratories, Workshops, Class Rooms, Drawing Halls, Hostels and a well-stocked Central Library in addition to departmental libraries. The college is affiliated with JNTUA, Anantapur and it is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Beginning with a modest intake of 180 students in 4 branches in 2001, the college has grown in size and infrastructure to admit 540 students in 6 branches of B.Tech. Responding to the demand for Post Graduate courses in engineering, Management and Computer Applications, the college has started M.Tech Courses in 9 Specializations and offers an MBA course.

St.Johns College of Engineering and Technology Sports places great emphasis on sports and games, encouraging students to participate and prioritize physical education. The college has appointed a professional physical director to train students in their respective fields of interest. All sports and games infrastructure facilities are funded by the college management. To further motivate students, special events, including tournaments, are organized annually, with rewards and recognition given to outstanding participants.
SJCET offers a large pool of talent to recruit from, with a wide range of specializations at UG and PG levels. The Training and Placement Cell of the College has an integral role in the recruitment, and the Cell is provided with complete infrastructure support. Training programmes are organized throughout the year to prepare students to face the recruitment process. Students are also guided in improving skills to meet industry needs.
1.Assists students develop/clarify their academic and career interests, and their short and long-term goals through individual counseling and group sessions.
2.Assist students in their successful job search strategies.
3.Work with faculty members, department Heads and administration to integrate career planning and academic curriculum as well as coordinate Project Work/ Summer Training/internship programs.
