Sri Kumara Gurupara Swamigal Arts College was established in the year 1961, named after the great Saint Kumara Guruparar Swamigal. Thiruvalarthiru Kasi vasi Arulnandhi Thambiran Swamigal, the then Head of Sri Kasi Mutt, Thirupanandal is the founder of the college. The college is located at Padmanabamangalam, a small remote village near Srivaikuntam in Thoothukudi-district.
