S. L. N. College of Engineering is run by the H. K. E. Society of Kalaburgi. Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society popularly known as HKE Society, was established in the year 1958 by Late Sri. Mahadevappa Rampure at Gulbarga. The Society stands differently from others in a way that it imparts education in the backward areas, with matchable education facilities enjoyed by affluent classes in developed areas. The college was started in the year 1979 and offers the following Courses awarded by VTU, Belagavi.SLN College of Engineering, Raichur Karnataka was established in the year 1979 as Private Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Engineering and Management. A library has a Unique scheme under the Students Book Bank, Lending books by charging a nominal maintenance cost of Rs. 30/- & 90/- per book for the entire semester. This facility is appreciated by students' parents & visiting committees. The library has subscribed to an e-journal through Del Net. Planning to expand e-journal subscriptions for this academic year is in process.

Admission 

SLN College of Engineering admission offers BE in 5 specializations with a total of 300 seats. The college also offers Lateral Entry in the 2nd year of BE.

Candidates must qualify for the 10+2 or any equivalent examination with a 45% aggregate in optional subjects of Bio-Technology, Electronics, Biology, and Computer Science. Diploma holders in Engineering are eligible for Lateral Entry. Admission to BE is done based on marks scored in KCET, conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

1. Applications to the programs are invited through offline mode, candidates need to download the form from the website.

2. For BE admission, candidates are required to pass the 10+2 with 45% aggregate marks from a recognized university.

3. Admission of the candidate is done based on a valid score obtained in KCET.

4. Diploma holders in Engineering can apply for Lateral Entry in the 2nd year of BE.

5. Lateral Entry admission is done based on merit scored in the qualifying examination.

6. For MBA courses, candidates are required to qualify for a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant stream with 50% marks and above from a recognized university.
