St Mary's College is owned and operated by St Mary's Jacobite Syrian Church known as Valiyapally, Thuruthiply, the famous Marian Center for Eastern Pilgrims. The College is administered by St Mary's Charitable and Educational Trust. St Mary's Charitable and Educational Trust is a leading service-oriented foundation providing both charitable and educational services. The Trust's first project was the establishment of the Snehabhavan Palliative Care Unit for cancer patients in 2001. As part of educational enrichment, St Mary's is affiliated with the CBSE. The strong determination of the Higher Education Broadcasting Trust led to the establishment of the three undergraduate St. Mary's College in 2010, which was gradually expanded with other undergraduate and postgraduate courses and became an affiliated college of Mahatma Gandhi University.
