Lecture Theatres

In the medical college, there are a total of 5 lecture theatres available, all designed in a gallery-type layout, each accommodating 180 seats. 

Central Library

The central library plays a pivotal role in supporting the educational and research endeavors of the institute. Spanning an area of approximately 26,000 square feet within a dedicated building on the ground floor, it offers seating arrangements for 150 readers in the Own Book Reading area and another 150 in the outside reading area. 

Common Room for Boys & Girls

Separate common rooms are provided for boys and girls within the college block.

Auditorium

The fully air-conditioned auditorium, with a seating capacity of 760, serves as a venue for various academic and extracurricular activities.

Skill Lab

The skill lab is equipped with mannequins, enabling students to practice and enhance various medical skills.

Demo Room

In the medical college, there are two demo rooms available in each department, while in the hospital, one demo room is provided in each OP department and IPD of each department, each accommodating 75 individuals.

Students Labs

There are a total of 13 departmental labs catering to various disciplines such as Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, and Community Medicine.

Hostel & Mess

The campus provides separate hostels for U.G students, Interns, Residents & Nurses, offering both A/C and Non-A/C accommodations for boys and girls. Rooms are well-ventilated with built-in cupboards, ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply. The hostel mess offers hygienic and quality food with recreational facilities including television, indoor games, gymnasium, and newspapers.

SMMCHRI Chennai Admission

Candidates interested in pursuing MBBS, MD, and MS programs at both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) levels must successfully clear the national entrance examinations as follows:

For MBBS programs, candidates must pass the NEET UG examination.
For MD/MS programs, candidates must clear the NEET PG examination.
Upon achieving valid scores in these examinations, candidates are required to undergo counseling processes as follows:

For All-India Quota (AIQ) Seats: Counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All-India seats.
For State Quota Seats: Counselling for State Quota seats is managed by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu.
