Established in 1993, Smt. Indira Gandhi College of Engineering (SIGCE), managed by Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Education Science and Technological Research Trust, Nanded, remains committed to world-class technology-focused education. SIGCE is an extension of the legacy of 30-plus years of the trust, which runs various schools, colleges, technical and agriculture institutes, and research centers in and around Maharashtra. The sprawling 1,20,000 sq ft campus of SIGCE has contemporary architecture which houses state-of-the-art and certified laboratories, an incubation center, and a well-stocked library. These facilities are designed in collaboration with various MNCs for integrated and industry-focused training. In fact, the seventh floor is dedicated to industries to set up labs for industry-academia collaboration and practical training. Ghansoli in Navi Mumbai has a strategic location advantage and is in proximity to Reliance Jio headquarters and Thane-Belapur Industrial Corridor. Facilities and Infrastructure

Sprawled over 3.5 acres, the newly built campus at Ghansoli provides access to first-class educational, recreational, and social facilities with virtually every amenity close at hand. While being one of the best campuses in the Navi Mumbai area, it extends a digitized state-of-the-art library and laboratories, designed in collaboration with various MNCs for integrated, industry-focused training. It has a total built-up area of about 1,20,000 sq. ft. The entire 7th floor is dedicated to unique industry-academia collaboration initiatives and will be used by industries to set up their labs for practical training.

The state-of-the-art SIGCE Library has been successfully catering to the Knowledge and information needs of students and staff of the college. The library supports the teaching-learning program of the institute with an excellent collection of textbooks, reference books, journals and magazines, data sheets, audio-visual materials, and other reading material. The carpet area of the library is more than 4000 sq. ft. and the reading hall accommodates 150 students at a time. There are two reading rooms for students and one for staff, a separate internet multimedia center, and a reprographics center that provides unlimited internet access and reprographic facilities respectively.

The college has well-equipped labs for Advanced Computing, Multimedia, Graphics, Data Base, Software Engineering, Networks, Advance Communication Engineering, Computer communication networks, Digital Signal Processing, Integrated circuits, microprocessors, Electrical Machine Labs, etc.

The college provides spacious and well-maintained classrooms to the students to make it more of a user-friendly environment. The classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with smartboards, speakers, etc.
