Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

These well-furnished laboratories provide facilities for practical training in pharmaceutical medicinal chemistry, synthesis, and structural elucidation of medicinally important compounds. Practical training is also offered in medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, and inorganic chemistry with well design experiments.

Department of Pharmacology

These well-equipped laboratories help train the students in practical studies of anatomy physiology and health education, pharmacology, chemotherapy, and bioassay of various drugs. The advanced pharmacology lab is specially designed to carry out animal model experiments for various known and new drugs of chemical and herbal origin.

Department of Pharmacognosy

Studies on drugs of herbal origin are increasing day by day. These laboratories assist the students acquire skills of identification morphological uses, and formulation aspects of various medicinal and aromatic plats of traditional values. Special facilities have been created to impart training in tissue culture techniques.

Major Equipment: Simple microscope, Compound microscope, Muffle Furnace, Soxhlet Apparatus. Clevenger Apparatus, Projection microscope, water bath, magnetic stirrer, Chromatographic column, Camera lucida, mixer-grinder, etc.

Animal House

A modern animal house on two floors, with a separate forgery, wash area, store for animal food, cages for rats, mice, rabbits, and guinea pigs, racks for cages and trolleys, etc. has been in function for the last five years. It has been air-conditioned for better upkeep and care of lab animals.

Library

Computer Lab

This laboratory is equipped with computers with advanced technology for the training of students through computer-aided educational soft wares in pharmacy. The students and staff for various projects also use this facility for their work. Internet facility is also provided for the students and staff to have access to recent developments.

Auditorium

The institute also possesses an auditorium with a sitting capacity of 300 persons, and inbuilt facilities of a public address system and audiovisual systems. It has become an ideal setting for conducting scientific seminars and symposia.

Administrative block
