Smt. S.M.Shah Pharmacy College was started in 2010. In a short time, the college has developed various standards in accordance with guidelines given by the Gujarat Technological University and Bai Jivkor Lallubhai Trust. The college campus has a multimedia classroom, library, well-equipped laboratory, and huge playground. The college also provides transportation facilities for all students and faculty members. SSMSPC is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University with 100 seats. SSMSPC is recognized for its good teaching, well-equipped laboratories, innovative research, and quality publications, and provides a platform for interdisciplinary research. The college takes feedback reports from students and faculty regarding the syllabus and we focus on the quality of teaching in UG & PG courses. Our course provides each student with effervescent self-confidence and a burning desire to excel overall with exposure to a world full of opportunities. The syllabus is framed regularly based on Gujarat Technological University and the need of industries.

Computer Lab

Computer lab This laboratory is equipped with computers with advanced technology for the training of students through computer-aided educational soft wares in pharmacy. The students and staff for various projects also use this facility for their work. Internet facility is also provided for the students and staff to have access to recent developments. The word “Computer” comes from the word “Compute” which means to calculate so a computer can be thought to be a calculating device. But now 95% of the computer is non-mathematical.

LIBRARY

Library – The mission of an Institution reflects the intellectual standard, the vision of the administrative body, and the standard of an institution. The Library has acquired a valuable collection of more than 11,000 books valued at 5,887, 759. The Library has a good collection of Journals i.e. current as well as back volumes. The current journal subscription is about 50 including foreign and Indian Journals. The bound volume collection is 6973. The library can accommodate 75 users at a time. Separate sections are provided for Undergraduate and Post Graduate students.

SPORTS

Sports & Games are an essential part of our curriculum.  By inculcating this habit of playing various games and sports, we will get to boost our personalities by realizing our Mental and Physical capabilities. Whenever we engage ourselves in sporting activity, we get to face various many known and unknown obstacles in our way.

Transportation

Transport facility is allotted on an annual basis for students for the duration of the academic session. Transport facility will be allotted on a First Come First Serve basis. Routes and pick-up points are indicative and are subject to change from time to time. Routine timings for College Bus to arrive at the College Campus will be 9:00 a.m. and departure at 5:00p.m, unless otherwise announced by the College.

The computer lab has 65 computers, with LAN and internet broadband of 30 MBPS connectivity to provide online access to scientific literature and database, which help students in their extensive study.
