The Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, Vazhukumpara, an initiative of a group of scholars and administered by the Sree Narayan Vidyapeetam Educational Trust, Edappalam, is a stepping stone to reach the ever-broadening horizons of education.  It was Sree Narayana Guru, the great social reformer of Kerala after whom the college is named, who exhorted us to enrich ourselves through education. The college is set on five acres of grounds with panoramic views of the distant Western Ghats. The green acres are strewn with greenery, creating a verdant landscape. Undoubtedly, it is the backdrop of calm and fresh green pastures, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities, that gives the necessary atmosphere to the abode of Minerva, goddess of wisdom.  The future three-story building will house the various study and research departments of this temple of science.
