Sophia Girls College, Ajmer (Autonomous) is an Institution that strives to provide the best college experience to the students. The College offers state-of-the-art facilities and upgraded infrastructure in the form of a well equipped Auditorium cum Seminar Room, Conference Room, Sports Grounds, nicely provided Hostel, , well equipped Laboratories, vast Central and Departmental Libraries, Infirmary, Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Canteen, Prayer Room, adequate purified Water Points, and Parking Facility accessible to both students and Faculty. As a easy and green campus, the College has undertaken many inexperienced tasks like generating 100 KWH of Solar Power, operational use of Bio gas and Steam Cooking in the Hostel, Rainwater Harvesting System and frequent Tree Plantation Drives. Residential Accommodations:

There is a well facilitated Hostel with the capacity of 150 undergraduate students of all streams. The hostel seats are allotted on merit basis. Library:

The Sophia Girls College Library is housed in the ‘Clarissa Block’. It was established in 1959 “to promote knowledge generation and application through its effective dissemination”. It acts as the prime Information Resource Centre and repository of printed and e-resources that supports teaching, research and academic activities of the College. The Faculty Members and students of the College are entitled to access the Library facilities and services. The Library has myriad sections for its right functioning like Acquisition Section, Technical Section, Circulation Section, Periodical Section, Reference Section, Reprographic Section, Newspaper Corner, E-Resource Lab / Digital Library. Central Library has fully computerized catalogue search facility available to the users through internet.

Seminar:

A plush, air- conditioned Conference Room is to be had for Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Faculty Development Programs etc. The Seminar Room can seat about 120 human beings and is equipped with audio-visual centers and individual microphones.

Labs:

The Sophia Girls College curriculum believes in ‘Learning-by-Doing’. To promote experiential learning to the students, the College has 19 well-equipped Laboratories and Museums for: English Language, Geography, GIS, Home Science, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science and Commerce.

Sports Facilities:

The Sophia Girls College stresses on all round development and well-being of its students and thus has a well-equipped Sports Department. The College is proud to facilitate 10 Playgrounds and Courts for games like Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Softball, Hockey, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton and Table Tennis, thus being the host of the Inter Collegiate University Tournaments for many years. The students are provided daily coaching on the Campus by Professional Coaches for sports like Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Softball, Hockey, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton, Table Tennis, and Boxing. The College also offers a Diploma in Yoga, and Health and Well-Being courses like aerobics, swimming, yoga and gym for First year students.

Swimming Pool:

The Sophia Girls College is proud to boast of a half Olympic size pool. The swimming complex includes the pool arena, automatic purification and cleaning systems, change and rest facilities. Swimming classes are conducted by a trained professional teach on a monthly payment basis.
