The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from South Calcutta Girls College, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the South Calcutta Girls College are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library:

Our college Library is named after Sri Peary Mohan Chatterjee who was an educator and made a great contribution to our College. The goal of the library is to provide better learning processes and resources for students, faculty, and other staff. It has a rich collection of 23,179 books. He is also a subscriber to many popular and peer-reviewed magazines, two daily newspapers, two business journals, professional exam/competition manuals, etc. Our library is a member of INFLIBNET-NLIST which offers registered members access to over 6,000 e-journals and over 1,99,500 e-books. Our adventure with automation started in 2016 with KOHA software (version 3.2.11). Since 2019 we offer services in automatic mode with KOHA software (version 18.11.02.000). The software is integrated with RFID technology, and D-Space is installed. Our library is equipped with remote monitoring for 24-hour surveillance.

Placement Cell:

The college has an active placement unit that advises students on postgraduate internship opportunities. Signed Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Understanding between the College and George Telegraph Training Institute (Training Partner of National Skill Development Corporation NSDC, Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India) for a three-month crash course in Front and Back Office Management as well as Spoken English and Personal Development for our students.
