STAR-Spintronic Technology & Advance Research gives high priority to Hostel accommodation. Separate Hostel accommodations for gents and ladies students, particularly for outside students are available nearer to the college. Intending students shall enquiry in advance from the Superintendent of the respective hostel regarding the availability of accommodation either in 1st year / subsequent year and prepare accordingly. A student may be permitted on the application in the prescribed form during the beginning of each academic year to get admission in the respective hostel/lodge with his/her parents or local guardian at Bhubaneswar. Students permitted to stay outside the hostel ( after taking admission in the respective hostel )are exempted from mess charges only and may be entitled to a refund of the mess advance if paid at the time of admission. Each student in order to complete the admission in any of the hostels ( i.e. Gents / Ladies hostel ) has to select a local guardian at Bhubaneswar who may be contacted in time of emergency. The name, full address, both office and residence, telephone number, designation and willingness of the local guardian have to be furnished at the time of admission in a prescribed format.

STAR manages a fleet of five institution buses playing on pre-scheduled timing to carry the students from various locations of the city to the campus. Student-friendly transport facilities are developed for the smooth running of the academic sessions. It creates a brotherly relationship among the students. All students must utilize these facilities to enhance their academic activity.

SPINTRONIC TECHNOLOGY AND ADVANCE RESEARCH are equipped with a modern canteen that is operated by the management. It provides the students and the faculty with nutritious and hygienic vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Snacks and soft drinks are also available. Modern cooking equipment that includes steam boilers for rice and vegetables has been installed with the aim of providing wholesome food. The college canteen has the capacity to accommodate almost 400 students at any time. Both North Indian and South Indian dishes are served on the daily menu for the hoteliers. Day scholars can benefit from an annual concession scheme or opt for a token scheme that is issued on a day-to-day basis.

We believe that a good library is one of the greatest assets of a college. The library was established in the year 2009. It is the library of STAR that caters to the academic need of college students, staff and research scholars. The library has a large collection of technical books and English Literature which is essential to help the students to develop their communication skills, periodicals, pamphlets, manuscripts, magazines, journals etc to keep the students abreast of the latest advancement and developments in the field of engineering. It is replete with a collection of over 18,000 learning resources in all major disciplines taught in the college. The library is spread over an area of 1500 sq ft. There is one reading room just Side the library which is used by the faculties and students. The library is subscribed to DELNET which provides an access to more than 200 libraries in India and abroad for both teachers and students.

First aid and elementary medical facilities are available on the campus premises besides in some laboratories. In case of emergency, the patient student is taken to the nearest medical practitioner/hospitals at Khurda as well as Bhubaneswar for which a van is available 24x7 hrs. Basis in the campus and the local guardian of the student is immediately informed. The local guardian takes charge of the ward thereafter and all medical expenses shall be borne by him. The entire responsibility of treatment will rest with the parent / local guardian/ student concerned.
