Hostel:

With a view to accommodate girl students from distant places, a women’s hostel is constructed and has started functioning this year. The project was sponsored by UGC with a matching grant from our management. Out of the total cost of 40 lakhs, 25 lakhs was spent by UGC and 15 lakhs by the management Another project for the construction of a women’s hostel was also sanctioned by UGC for 75 lakhs.

Sports:

The Physical Education Department of S.N College, Varkala began its long and illustrious journey as early as 1964. Since then the department has never turned back and hardly ever lost sight of our cut-out task in the arena of Sports and contributed tremendously and still continues to do in developing sportsmen and women of the highest caliber. They, in turn, won laurels and made us all proud. From such a humble beginning we have grown and now command both admiration and envy alike from other colleges in the neighborhood in terms of our achievements and available sports infrastructural facilities.

Career Guidance Cell:

Career Guidance Cell’ in universities and colleges was established as per the XIth plan of UGC. The main objective of the cell is to equip students to get gainful employment in central and other services and to impart proper guidance to our students in building up a brighter future by all means. The Career Guidance Cell in our college provides ample opportunities for our students to select a better career option and also helps in honing their soft skills. As part of the Career Guidance Cell, seminars, lectures by experts, and various programs were organized in our college over the years.
