The budget for books has increased from Rs.28 lakhs in the IX plan to Rs.42.5 lakhs in the X plan, with Rs.10 lakhs allocated for the library at the PG centre in Kurnool.
The library provides photocopying services and has a dedicated section to assist students in preparing for competitive examinations. Additionally, the library houses 13,600 back volumes, an SC/ST Book Bank, a Competitive Examinations Cell, and offers INFLIBNET services. Each student is issued three borrowing cards, and books must be returned within 15 days to avoid fines. Medical Facilities
The University Health Centre serves the medical needs of students, staff, non-teaching staff, visiting faculty, and to some extent, the surrounding villages. Currently, the Health Centre does not have in-patient therapy units, but an expansion is underway to offer limited in-patient services in the future. The Health Centre is staffed by three Medical Officers and offers the following facilities:
