Admission 2024-25
Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) has established a comprehensive admission procedure for its wide range of courses, incorporating specific criteria tailored to each field of study. The university offers a variety of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs, including research options like PhD and M.Phil, covering 20 different specializations. The admission cycle typically begins in late March, and interested applicants can obtain application forms online at university.ac.in or directly from the university campus.
• Admission requirements vary across courses. For UG programs such as BA, B.Com, B.Sc., B.Ed., and BPED, candidates are evaluated based on their performance in the 10+2 examinations. Prospective students can apply through the admission process of Sri Krishnadevaraya University.
• B.Tech. admissions require candidates to clear the JEE Mains and advanced exams, along with state-level entrance exams recognized by the university. For M.Tech. admissions, GATE/PGECET exam scores are considered, while MBA applicants need to take the state-level ICET exam or choose CAT/MAT at the national level.

Eligibility Criteria
Sri Krishnadevaraya University M.Tech. Admissions 2023:
• GATE exam clearance is mandatory, with eligibility requiring a B.Tech. degree. Selection is based on GATE scores or PGECET rank.
• 70% of seats are allocated based on GATE or PGECET rank, following government guidelines.
Sri Krishnadevaraya University MBA Admissions 2023:
• Applicants must take either the Common Aptitude Test (CAT) or the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for admission.
• Eligibility includes an undergraduate degree with specific aggregate requirements, and selection is based on scores in the state-level entrance exam ICET.
Sri Krishnadevaraya University M.Pharma Admissions 2023:
• Admission is based on the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by the university.
• Eligibility requires a B.Tech./BE or B.Pharma degree with a minimum required score in the undergraduate degree.
• Selection is based on PGCET results and cumulative marks in the undergraduate degree.
Sri Krishnadevaraya University MCA Admissions 2023:
• The MCA program admissions are based on the Integrated Common Test (ICET) conducted by SKU.
• Eligibility requires 50% scores in the undergraduate degree, and selection is based on ICET results.
Sri Krishnadevaraya University Ph.D. and M.Phil Admissions 2023:
• Research programs like Ph.D. and M.Phil offer 28 specializations, with admissions depending on the Shri Krishnadevraya University Research Common Entrance Test (SKURCET).
• Applicants need a postgraduate degree in their respective specializations.

Infrastructure
Sri Krishnadevaraya University provides a diverse range of amenities for its students, ensuring a comfortable and secure living environment. Separate hostels are available for male and female students. The university features a state-of-the-art fitness center equipped with contemporary exercise equipment, including dumbbells, treadmills, and benches. Additionally, the campus houses a well-stocked library with an extensive collection of books, magazines, and national and international journals. An indoor sports stadium allows students to participate in various sports activities, complemented by cafeterias offering nutritious and hygienic meals. The campus is further enhanced by an auditorium serving as a venue for seminars and cultural events, and a dedicated health center with first aid facilities for emergencies. Reliable Wi-Fi connectivity and a robust IT infrastructure are also provided by the university.
Residential Accommodation:
The University offers separate hostels for male and female students. However, as the hostel capacity is limited, admission to the college does not guarantee accommodation in the hostel. Admission guidelines for the hostels can be obtained from the Hostel Office.
Library
The University's Central library boasts a diverse collection of 114,000 books, 190 periodicals, and 118 magazines, greatly enhanced by the generous support of the UGC. Students can access the library's open access facility from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm on weekdays and from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm on holidays. The budget for books has increased from Rs.28 lakhs in the IX plan to Rs.42.5 lakhs in the X plan, with Rs.10 lakhs allocated for the library at the PG centre in Kurnool.
The library provides photocopying services and has a dedicated section to assist students in preparing for competitive examinations. Additionally, the library houses 13,600 back volumes, an SC/ST Book Bank, a Competitive Examinations Cell, and offers INFLIBNET services. Each student is issued three borrowing cards, and books must be returned within 15 days to avoid fines. Sri Krishnadevaraya University is committed to fostering the academic, intellectual, physical, cultural, and overall personality development of its students, with various services and facilities available to support this mission.
Medical Facilities
The University Health Centre serves the medical needs of students, staff, non-teaching staff, visiting faculty, and to some extent, the surrounding villages. Currently, the Health Centre does not have in-patient therapy units, but an expansion is underway to offer limited in-patient services in the future. The Health Centre is staffed by three Medical Officers and offers the following facilities:
- Out-patient clinic & free drug dispensary
- Pregnancy identification, confirmation, and antenatal check-ups
- Deliveries, including episiotomy and forceps application
- Safe abortion services
- Postnatal check-ups
- Family planning services
- Immunization and neonatal check-ups
- X-ray and ECG facilities
- Casualty with 2 beds for patient observation, IV infusion, and blood transfusion
- Ambulance services
Sports and Gymnasium
The University College provides a range of sports and games facilities, including a modern gymnasium equipped with the latest fitness equipment like the multigym. The gym offers facilities for indoor games such as badminton, table tennis, chess, and carrom, as well as weightlifting and malkhamb. The renovated University stadium is equipped for cricket, football, and athletics, and there are also courts for ball badminton, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. The University regularly hosts All India and South Zone Inter-University games competitions and conducts annual intramurals and intercollegiate sports events. Coaching camps in various disciplines are held periodically to develop skills in different sports and games.
