Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital (SAMC), Aligarh is a dream gradually taking concrete shape. It is but a tribute to Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi who inspired the founder Sri Rakesh Gupta to dedicate an institution to India's pride and oldest science in medicine, Ayurveda. In April 2002 Om Sri Sai Shiksha Samiti was formed and registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 and the founder transferred his rich herbal estate and grove spread over a large area of more than ten acres on the outskirts of Aligarh (G. T. Road) to the Society for running an Ayurvedic College.

A 200 Bed Hospital with adequate staff, pathological lab, X-ray and other equipment, Operation Theatre with wards in the I.P.D. /O.P.D. is available for the treatment of patients through Ayurveda. A complete unit of Panchkarma is established under the Dept. of Medicine.

All the Laboratories relating to their respective subjects namely Physiology, Pathology, Anatomy, Toxicology, Dravyaguna, Rasashastra, etc. are well equipped. The library subscribes to a good number of medical journals, magazines, and periodicals. It is well managed with books on Ayurveda and Modern. The Library has a capacity to accommodate hundred students and there is extra space available for the reading room.

The College has a well-established Pharmacy according to C.C.I.M. norms and is being run under the supervision of experts and experienced staff. Quality Ayurvedic medicines are regularly manufactured and supplied to the O.P.D. Students have also imparted knowledge about the manufacturing processes of Ayurvedic medicines.

Herbal Garden provides herbs on a large scale for imparting knowledge about their identification and pharmacopeia.

Well furnished hostel for boys "Jivak Chhatravas" with a capacity of 90 beds and a girl's hostel "Sukanaya Chhatravas" with a capacity of 60 beds are situated inside the campus with a comfortable mess, Good standard of meals are given under the supervision of the teachers and students.

This is a significant regular feature of the college and students are actively encouraged to take part in various sports and games. Outdoor and Indoor games are organized on campus and students are encouraged to take part in the internal tournaments and their efforts are recognized and awarded suitably.

A well-equipped gymnasium for the performance of physical and yogic exercises is available on campus.

Responding to the need of the time, a computer training center has been introduced under the instructions of C.C.I.M. All the students are required to acquire basic knowledge of working with computers in collaboration with a recognized agency.

Residential family / Single flats for teachers have been built inside the college campus.

Admission

The requirement for Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital Aligarh admission 2023 is qualifying 10+2 class or its equivalent examination with a Science stream from a recognized board of education.

The student must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English & with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology together (40% for SC/ST students).

Direct admission on the basis of merit and an interview is also possible.

Placement

Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Aligarh, was the first college to receive permanent affiliation to award the degree, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S.), from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Students of Sri Sai Ayurvedic Medical College get trained in therapies like Santarpan or strengthening, and Apatarpan or emaciating, which can be implemented in the Panchkarma lab.
