Smart Classroom Facilities 

Sri Shanmugha College Of Engineering And Technology (SSCET, Salem) Smart Classroom provides a classroom that is self-service, user-friendly, and suitable for the teaching and learning process. The essential resources for instructors are permanent classrooms that are designed to be simple and easy-to-use configurations. A collaborative learning environment, and easy comfortable, and friendly classroom technology motivate the presenters to use spontaneity, improvisation, and participation from the audience.

Classroom computers facilitate interactive learning, which allows for the shift from revealing information and processing it into 70 70% presentation and 30 percent demonstration. These modifications to the learning and teaching process benefit students who are more active within the class environment. All classrooms are "smartly equipped with high-speed data networks, LCD projectors, and LCDs for videos and audio.

Library Facilities 

The SSCET is proud of having a Library that has an area of build-up that is 454 Sq.m. It is well-furnished in its reading area. SSCET Library uses fully automated ILMS software from AutoLib. The library's automation services include acquisitions, circulation cataloging, online OPAC and report Generation, Email & SMS alerts, and more. The book database is built along with the database of the user. Faculty and students are encouraged to use the educational materials that are available within the library. Library patrons can borrow books with the ID card issued by the institution. Issue return procedures are fully automated and manual ID cards are used as documents supporting for faculty and students.

Hostel Facilities 

SSCET offers accommodation for students who want to live in hostels. The hostel in the Institute is an autonomous organization with its internal administration. Its oversight of the Principal as well as members of the Hostel Management. The hostel is run by a Warden, who is appointed by the Chairman. The Warden is assisted by an assistant warden. It is the Hostel Council that plans the student's activities for the entire year. This includes the preparation of the budget for sports, recreation, and social events, and is also accountable for the running of the mess, with the assistance of members of the Mess committee.

Each room is equipped with a cot, chair, table, and bookshelf, as well as an air conditioner. The residents are not allowed to move furniture or other fittings from one space to the next. Cooking in private rooms is not permitted. Smoking, drinking alcoholic drinks, and taking narcotics are strictly forbidden.

The college provides plenty of opportunities for students to be involved in outdoor and indoor sporting activities. The Sports Complex is near the college and provides facilities to play and practice Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball, Badminton Football, and Cricket. Our basketball court is built to international standards.

Gym Facilities 

Sri Shanmugha College Of Engineering And Technology (SSCET, Salem) Multi-Power Gym was opened for staff and students in the year 2014. The gym is outfitted with Modern equipment like 10 stations. Students are enthusiastically using the gym for their routine workouts. Physical Director D.Sathyakumar inspires the students to keep their fitness levels to improve performance in other sporting events.
