Sri YN College was established in the year 1949 in Narsapur Town. The college is affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and is one of the top colleges in the area. The college was set up with the aim of catering to the need for improving educational facilities. It is a Deemed university and a center for Excellence with a special emphasis on Research. The college equips the students with the right knowledge, skills, and attitudes to meet the present-day challenges of the competitive world and imparts value based that is at par with industry standards.

The College has separate buildings and separate libraries for UG and PG and well-equipped science laboratories with a band of very competent and experienced faculty. Thus it has over a period of time evolved into a premier institution of Higher education in Andhra Pradesh.

Laboratories:

Sri Y N College comprises a variety of Science Courses. All the Laboratories are well equipped with the latest equipment and apparatus to facilitate students with the opportunity to undertake experiments with great precision and high accuracy. Every department has excellent laboratory infrastructural facilities and students are trained in the laboratories to enhance their practical skills and knowledge. New and updated equipment are regularly incorporated in Labs with the latest technology which gives the students an added advantage. The Laboratory facilities are centralized and the specific set of experiments are catered by the concerned Departments.

Play Ground & Sports:

The College has huge sports facilities like Gymnasium, Ball Badminton, Tennis Court, Volley Ball Court, Basket Ball Court, Multi -gym, Playfield for Cricket and other indoor game facilities. In addition, the students have regularly participated in Inter-University and Inter-College sports events, and have displayed their talent by bagging a number of laurels for their alma mater, over the years.

The Library of Sri Y N College is equipped to meet the essential academic and intellectual needs of its users. It is spacious, spread on two floors, and has been renovated to make it more user-friendly. Open access system, Spacious reading rooms provide an atmosphere conducive to study. It is well stocked and the collection consists of more than 66,459 books. The collection is continuously updated with changes in curriculum. It subscribes to many newspapers and magazines.
