Sri Yerramilli Narayanamurthy college was established in the year 1949 in Narsapur Town of the west Godavari on the banks of the river Godavari.
The Institute attempts to integrate classroom learning with actual work experience in Industry or the concerned professional field into a single educational process. One of the Important goals of the institute is to ensure that the integration process established for a student, the importance of what he studies, in this institution thanks to an adequate experience during this work.

The Library
The PG & UG Library of Sri Y N College is equipped to meet the essential academic and intellectual needs of its users. It is spacious, spread on two floors and has been renovated to make it more user-friendly. Open access system, Spacious reading rooms provide an atmosphere conducive to study.
It is well stocked and its collection consists of more than 22,535 books. The collection is continuously updated with curriculum changes. It subscribes to many newspapers and magazines.
Indoor Games and Gymnasium
The College has huge sports facilities like Gymnasium, Ball Badminton, Tennis Court, Volley Ball Court, Basket Ball Court, Multi -gym, Playfield for Cricket and other indoor game facilities. In addition, the students have regularly participated in Inter-University and Inter-College sports events, and have displayed their talent by bagging several laurels for their alma mater, over the years, Furthermore, the students are also encouraged to pursue their dreams by competing at the State, National and International levels.
Laboratories
Sri Y N College includes a variety of science courses. All labs are well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to facilitate students with the ability to undertake experiments with high accuracy and precision. Each department has excellent laboratory infrastructure facilities and students are trained in the laboratories to improve their skills and practical knowledge. New and updated equipment is regularly incorporated into the labs with the latest technology, giving students an added advantage. The facilities of the Laboratory are centralized and the specific series of experiments are managed by the Departments concerned.
