The ashrama is engaged in many activities like renovation of old temples, publications of the grant, feeding poor people, and offering Annathanam to pilgrims at various temples. In addition to this, the ashrama runs Vedapatasalas for imparting Vedic knowledge and preparing Acharyas and Pandits in Vedas, Aaghamam, Purana, and Sastras. To solve the purpose of above said projects, publications, and service to humanity His Holiness Sri Vendantha Ramanuja Mahadesikan (Thirukudanthai Andavan) proposed a plan to start a trust in 1964. The trust was named Sri Ranganatha Padhuka Vidhyalaya Trust and came into existence in 1968. The trust comprises vibrant members as the Board of Trustees. At present Shri. N. Gopalaswami, IAS is the Chairman, and Shri. Ammangi V. Balaji is the Secretary. The trust manages the activities of the Vedapadasalas all over India. In 1996, the trust established Srimad Andavan Arts & Science College in Trichy which strives to build a learning culture, responsive to the needs of the community at large through affordable value-based education.

The College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli.

Facilities and Infrastructure:

Library:

The college has an excellent library with automation systems and barcoding facilities in place. The library has a stock of more than 33,570 -books with 10921 titles and subscribed to 07 International Journals, 34 National Journals, 06 Online Journals, and 20 magazines. 2052 Books in Book Bank, 2125 Non-Book Materials, and 716 Back volumes, 274 Mobile Library Books, 151 Competitive Exam Books, 10 Dailies, and membership in INFLIBNET and BOOK SHARE.

Media Centers:

The college established the Department of Visual Communication in the year 2015. The Department trains the students to face the challenges in the field of media. The Department has all the necessary equipment which is also utilized for e-content development by the faculty of the college.

Computer Lab:

The faculty and students of the College shall be encouraged to make innovative and creative use of information technologies in support of education and research. Computer Centre staff shall provide assistance in using College computing facilities for the staff and students. The network of the college is highly secure. The campus being Wifi enabled, the college may restrict, and reserve the right to limit access to its computers and network systems. A centralized printing facility shall be made available on the campus.

DBT- Instrumentation Facility:

The college has established an instrumentation facility encompassing various instruments which were obtained from the project grants of the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. New Delhi. This facility mainly focuses on providing training and skill improvement among the SC/ST and economically weaker population of the adopted village - Theerampalayam in Trichy District. The target groups were trained in the development of value-added natural nutritional products fortified with Herbal extracts and to enhance their entrepreneurial skill. 

Sports:

The college playgrounds are being utilized effectively and efficiently by students and staff. The maintenance and usage of playgrounds and sports equipment are under the custody of Qualified Physical Education trainers, who monitor and ensure proper maintenance of the same.

Security:

The campus is being guarded and controlled on a 24X7 basis by engaging Security agencies. The security personnel ensures the safety and security of all estate and infrastructure. The entry points and other prominent areas are under CCTV surveillance for safeguarding. They also maintain a register to note down and monitor the entry and exit of the vehicles and regulate the parking area inside the college.
