Established during the academic year 2000-'01 for a systematic transformation of the students into highly motivated graduates with professional competence. The college is working with professional competence under the aegis of Jaya Educational Trust, Thiruninravur, Chennai which was founded by Prof. A.Kanagaraj. Facilities and Infrastructure

Residential Accommodations:

There is one Hostel for 'Girls' and one for 'Boys'; The Hostels for 'Girls' and 'Boys' are exclusive and well segregated geographically, keeping in view our tradition, culture, and heritage values.

The Hostels have the necessary Infrastructure and Facilities with separate modern kitchens, Dining Halls and Services. The Hostels have provisions for hot water round the clock, through heaters.

There are separate study Halls in addition to well-established central Libraries of the Institution Campus.

Support facilities such as Canteens, Internet, Telecom center, Sports, Entertainment/ Recreation are available. DTP, Bank/ATM, and Post Office are also located at nearby places.

Internet Centre is available separately for Boys and for Girls well within the Premises.

Institution-wise orientation: Floors/ Rooms in each of the Hostels are administratively so earmarked for allotment of Rooms by the Head of the Institution.

Library:

The Srinvasa Institute of Engineering & Technology consists of a Central Library and five department libraries which collectively support the teaching, research, and extension programs of the institution. All students and faculty members of the institution are entitled to make use of the library facilities by taking library membership. The Library has a huge collection of books on Engineering, Science, and Humanities; and offers library services through its various sections.

Computer Center:

Our students have unrestricted, round-the-clock access to air-conditioned computer laboratories equipped with the network structure and other relevant software. The students are privileged to have access to our state-of-the-art computer laboratories, home to over 500 PCs, and 5 servers with a dedicated network. The Overall ratio of computers to students is more than the number recommended. Computer laboratories are being upgraded from time to time to provide the best computational infrastructure.

Internet:

Our College has a dedicated Internet of 34 Mbps, connected to more than five hundred terminals throughout the Campus. Students and faculty are free to access the internet. This helps the students to prepare papers on the latest technologies to be presented in various symposiums and seminars. Interested students who are willing to go abroad for further studies can take up tests such as GRE and TOEFL, take up online mock tests, and also browse through websites of various universities and centers of higher education around the world. The access speed enables the Students and Staff to download and upload files at a fast rate.

Gymnasium:

Our college is having all sports and games facilities to cater to the needs of students and staff. Nowadays, students have to maintain good health by playing games and sports which will give good relaxation from day-to-day strains and make them physically and mentally fit. Outdoor games courts such as volleyball, cricket, basketball, shuttle badminton, etc.. are available. In addition, throw ball and shuttle badminton courts are available for girls.

To tone up good physic as in the recent trend, an eight-station gymnasium is set up. In addition, a treadmill, stepper cycle, bench press with weights, dumbles, and T-bar are also available to augment the above equipment. Indoor game facilities are also available. Yoga and meditation camps are conducted frequently to make the staff and students mentally fit.

Transport:

Srinivasa Inst of Engg. & Tech. has more than 30 buses which are made available to the students and faculty members for commuting from various points in the city and also from the suburbs like Amalapuram, Malkipuram, Yanam, Ryali, Ravulapelam, Kakinada, Katerinkona, Vanapalli, Komarigipalem, etc to the Campus and back. All students should make use of the Institute Transport or should stay in the hostel. This facility has made it possible to start classes on time and thereby helping the academic process. Our bus facilities have enabled us to maintain discipline among students. All the buses reach the Campus before 8.00 A.M. so that all the students and faculty can have their breakfast and get ready to attend the classes at 8.10 A.M. The buses leave the campus at 4.40 P.M., which helps all the students to reach home early and safely.

Placements

Campus recruitment drives are undertaken by inviting companies from the private, public, and government sectors to place Institute's students in entry-level managerial positions. Placement assistance is provided industry sector-wise as well as functional area-wise. For this purpose, the institute has an active placement cell that keeps continuous interaction with industry, business houses, multinationals, and the public sector undertaking with a view to providing appropriate and timely career opportunities to students.
